Dear supporting brethren:
Once again it is a joy and a
privilege to greet you again by way of our newsletter. First of
all, we wish belated Thanksgiving greetings to all and to all of you
a wonderful and a very Merry Christmas in a few weeks. We are very
thankful for all of you and your wonderful showing of God's love and
concern for our ministry. You truly have been faithful, generous
and so patient. Our deep heartfelt gratitude is the best we can
express in words.
This year, needless to say, has
been one of the most trying and eventful years of the 33 plus years
that we have been in the Lord's wonderful service. Truly the Lord
has been faithful and loving in all of it. As well, you folks have
made a great difference and we can never thank you enough. You who
have stuck with us through these health and ministry changes, no
doubt you are going to be rewarded greatly.
This last month of November has
been a busy and very spiritual rewarding month. After preaching a
five day revival with the Bible B.C., in Trinidad, (Pastor Andy
Ohlman), in which the Lord blessed in a wonderful way, we ventured
to Pueblo, Colorado. And along with Pastor Chuck Bigler (Heritage
B.C.), we were able to lead an elderly gentleman who emigrated from
Mexico many years ago, and spoke only Spanish, to the feet of Jesus
in salvation. Last week at Santa Fe Baptist Temple in Santa Fe, N.M,
after preaching in the morning service, two young men (I believe, 17
and 18 years old) walked the isle for salvation. We praise the Lord
for using us in what I believe is still the most important business
on earth (bar none) - getting souls saved. I was also able to
re-assure a friend of ours of his eternal salvation. While in the
San Luis Valley in our ministry there we were able to work with him.
He passed away two days after I visited with him. Another man who
attended our services there passed away of a heart attack two days
later. We also worked with him concerning eternal security and he
assured us that he understood it. As you can see, it was a very
rewarding and precious time of seeing the Lord working in our lives.
Update on our health status: I
am still experiencing some difficulty with the shingles but I am
much, much better. My wife is still having some difficulty with her
health but is also much better. I feel like perhaps the beginning
of the year, hopefully, the Lord will open a door for us to get back
fully on track with our ministry. Please continue to pray for us
that we will discern and follow the Lord's precise will for our
lives. Once again we love you and may the coming year bring you and
me the greatest blessings we have ever experienced both spiritually
and physically.
Yours in His name for His
service,
Brother and Mrs. Sal Garcia,
