The Lohen González Family
June 9, 2010
Dear Brethren in Christ,
We would like to give thanks to our God for the power
manifested through the glorious gospel! A family who has
been attending our meetings for some time now, and who
finally surrendered their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ
after the preaching on a Sunday night, receiving the
most wonderful and precious gift that exists in this
life, the gift of eternal life that only the Son of God
can give. Along with their daughter, they come
faithfully to the meetings. Alicia attends the Ladies’
meetings, which is helping her to grow in the Lord.
Fernanda, her daughter, comes to the Kids’ Club on
Saturday afternoons, and Abelardo participates in the
Men’s meetings on Friday evenings, and also shares in
the sports fellowship among the men on Thursday nights.
The same Sunday that this couple got saved, another man
Luis, step father to our brother Gabriel, received
Christ as his personal Savior in his life, also. He had
been participating for some time in the meetings and the
Lord began to work in his heart. If you had taken a
picture of this man before the Lord touched him, you
would have said he was an ogre. But now he doesn’t stop
smiling and giving signs of the tremendous power that
God has to change lives. Praise God! This is a
tremendous shot of encouragement to continue to preach
the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ.
My daughter, Debby visited us at the end of May, which
was a tremendous blessing. We could enjoy three of our
children once again in our home. She was able to enjoy
once more the delicious Chilean food. De bby and her
husband, Rodolfo, live in Houston, Texas, and will very
soon if the Lord so wills, join the membership of the
Parkwood Baptist Church, where the pastor is Bro. Mark
Thrift. Pray that they will continue to grow under the
preaching of the Word of God.
On the 28th of May, our brother Richard Norambuena left
to be in the presence of the Lord, six months after he
had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. We thank God
for the testimony of our brother and for the support and
participation of he and his family in the mission where
the Lord has placed us. The Lord allowed me to preach on
Friday, Saturday and Sunday before we left for the
cemetery, a precious opportunity in which the Lord used
me to share His Word. Bro. Jonathan Norambuena, my
son-in-law who is married to my daughter Cindy, is the
son of Bro. Richard and Sis. Cecilia. He has received
the calling of the Lord to serve Him, specifically in
the Rivers of Living Water Baptist Mission where we are
working. He left the Rock of Ages Baptist Church and we
hope that he will be the future pastor of the Rivers of
Living Water Baptist Church some day, if God allows it.
So, the Lord has not abandoned us. He decided to call
one of His to His presence, but He sent us four new
members to do His work. Pray that the Lord will supply
all that this couple needs, who have surrendered their
lives to the Service of our King and Lord.
During these last month’s two churches have stopped
supporting us. We know that the world is in crisis, but
we thank God that He is not and that He has promised to
sustain us. We received an electronic mail from our
pastor, Shawn Nichols, telling us that the Bible Baptist
Church in Dickinson, North Dakota where the pastor Bro.
Walters ministers, have decided to help the work of the
Lord here in Chile and have taken us as their
missionaries. May God greatly bless them!
We thank God for you, my brethren, who have remained
faithful to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to take
the Gospel to the ends of the earth until He comes again
In Christ,
